Dr. Yu Dongxing is an associate professor at the School of Education, Shanghai Sanda University, where he serves as Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development in Education and is a member of the China Democratic National Construction Association. He holds a Ph.D. in Literature with a focus on International Chinese Language Education and is an interdisciplinary scholar working at the intersection of linguistics, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and educational innovation. His research spans International Chinese Language Education, AI in education, the Educational Metaverse, virtual reality–based learning, language policy and planning, and the integration of science and technology in the arts. He is widely recognized for pioneering the establishment of China’s first university-level Educational Metaverse platform and a VR Education Lab, advancing intelligent and immersive learning environments. Dr. Yu combines strong theoretical foundations with hands-on expertise in software development and institutional leadership to translate research into impactful educational practice. He has held visiting and training appointments at leading international institutions including Harvard University, the University of Regina in Canada, Aarhus University in Denmark, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, reflecting his global academic engagement and collaborative outlook. Dr. Abbas Shahsavani is an Associate Professor and Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Health Engineering at the School of Public Health and Safety, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran, and also serves as Head of the Air Health and Climate Change Department at the Ministry of Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He holds a Ph.D., M.Sc., and B.Sc. in Environmental Health Engineering from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. His research expertise encompasses air pollution, indoor air pollution, dust storms, climate change, toxicology, microplastics, biofuels, health impact assessment, risk assessment, and the health effects of environmental exposures. He has supervised and consulted more than 38 master’s theses and 10 Ph.D. dissertations in air pollution and its health consequences. Dr. Shahsavani has authored over 130 peer-reviewed publications, including journal articles, book chapters, and an edited volume, with significant contributions to environmental and public health sciences. According to Scopus, he has published 129 documents with more than 2,400 citations and holds an h-index of 27, while his Google Scholar profile shows over 4,200 citations with an h-index of 34. His impactful research and academic leadership continue to advance understanding of environmental health risks and policy development globally.
